Dear Ladies and Gentleman,




It is with great humility and embarrassment that I enter this formal apology to you all. As you may already know I come from a long heritage of professional performance hounds which began in the 1950's with my Great Great Great Great Great Great Great Great Great, etc. Gran Pappy Sherlock who performed "Hound Dog" with Elvis Presley on The Steve Allen Show Show. I have brought great shame to my family name and this is a moment Great, etc. Gran Pappy Sherlock would not be proud of, just like when his first boy missed his first rabbit in the Ozarks, "inexcusable" Great etc. Gran Pappy said. Uncle Cletus to the day he died swored he picked up on a squirrel trail and decided to pursue him instead. Needless to say he didn't get that squirrel either. Story goes on to tell from the squirrel trail came a chipmunk scent, then a possum, then a field mouse, need I say Cletus exited the forest wit nuttin' but his drool and a mess of sticky burrs.



Not to burden you with the weight of this controversy, but my publicist is now fighting my family to allow me to keep the name of my talent agency "Ain't Nuttin' but a Hound Dog" Productions. They believe this incident has caused a blemish on the family equal to Uncle Cletus and now with the Trio from Philly potentially being unable to proceed to White Plains, the family got their panties in a bunch and are concluding that the name should be changed to "Neva Caught a Rabbit" Productions. I am hoping that the support promised by Priscilla Presley will simmer things down a bit. Miss Priscilla has always been a great fan of my work.
